Tipis of All Sizes

Our most popular tipi has an 18’ diameter and comfortably accommodates five people.  Also very popular is our 7’ child tipi that is often used in classrooms and backyards as a learning tool.

Then we have one for the birds; hanging from the limb of a tree, this unique tipi birdhouse makes a charming garden ornament.  All of our tipis are double stitched. 

They are reinforced with thick, heavy fabric in stress areas to hold their integrity for years of enjoyment.

Canvas : This 12oz cotton canvas is a piece of history. The weave is basically the same as it was in the 1800's. The small brown chips that you see woven into the fabric are particles of the cotton seed pod.

Sunforger Canvas: 13 oz Sunforger canvas is tightly-woven cotton canvas treated for mildew, is UV light resistant, and is water proof.

Liner: This 72” tall optional inner wall is built in three sections.  Each section consists of panels that tie to the inside of the poles providing privacy, warmth and helping draw campfire smoke out of your lodge.

Poles: The tipi poles provide both the foundation and framework for your tipi.  Historically, they were selected for their strength, length, and straightness.  We look for the same qualities in the poles we provide.  The mountains in our area are covered with a wide variety of pine trees, one of which is called “lodge pole pine”, named after its use in tipi lodges.  We selectively pick poles in overgrowth areas.  Our poles are then hand-peeled and seasoned.
